During pandemic, the Phinma Saint Jude College Libraries adjusted to the changed normal. In order to ensure that the effective services are not disrupted, the library focused on increasing the online library services thereby ensuring full access to different library resources, including the online resources, ebooks, and databases. Online training modules were introduced to assist students in their studies by providing activities that make the students enjoy their learning online. In this changing environment, libraries are trying to adjust their services to these new realities to serve the needs of its clientele.
The library is located at the 3rd floor divided into different areas such as a Reading Area, a Reference/Information Desk and Collection of books and has a seating capacity for three hundred (300) readers, has seven computers (3) computers with internet connection for searching and typing, one (1) for online resources and databases, one (1) for starbooks, one (1) for online public access catalog and one (1) for library user attendance. The library adapts the Library of Congress Classification System. An open shelf system is available for easy browsing and access to the collection.
The library is divided into ten sections - the Circulation/Reserve Section, Filipiniana Section, Reference Section, Periodicals Section, Internet Stations, Discussion Area, AVR, Faculty Corner, Graduate Studies, Senior High School and Person with Disabilities (PWDs).
The Library is a repository of important information available as learning resource for students, professionals, researchers and the community at large. The ultimate goal is to improve student learning by helping the faculty choose the best instructional references in teaching.
