POST-DOCTORAL FELLOWS
Multiple postdoctoral positions are available in the Peters Lab in the Department of Neurobiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham to study the functional neural circuitry of addiction and emotional memory. Projects will use viral-mediated gene transfer, chemogenetics, and optogenetics to manipulate neural activity in vivo and elicit functional effects on behavior. Other projects will use in vivo calcium and neurotransmitter imaging (using fiber photometry) to measure neural activity and transmitter release in specific brain circuits.
