Anti-Virus Uninstallers List

It is extremely important that any previously installed anti-virus or anti-malware software is uninstalled from a device before installing a new security product. This is because anti-virus and anti-malware programs tend to scan through files and folders on a device much like a virus or piece of malware would. There have been many times where two types of security software have been installed on a device and have detected each other as threats, using up valuable resources on the device by attempting to remove each other.

Typical uninstallation using the Windows Removal Tool in Control Panel (Add/Remove Programs) is often insufficient. Here is a list of tools to assist with uninstalling their corresponding security software.
