Ancient Persia 2
In the previous section we mentioned about ancient persian gods. They had two gods: 1: Ahuramazda, who had created the world was the good god. The other one was called Angre Minu, a demon who has an evil spirit and is the source of darkness. Ahuramazda is constantly at war with the devil and the devils who are his friends, and he left the cure of diseases and the treatment of the sick to an angel named Trita. In ancient times, mental illness was considered a form of demonization.
In ancient persia, medicine was divided into two main areas: 1-psychiatry, 2- physical medicine. In psychiatry, the preservation of the mind against sin and the purification of the mind in case of sin is considered, and in physical medicine, the care of the body in health and the treatment of the body when suffering from a disease have been considered. In the psychiatry, the three main factors are included: thought, speech and action.
According to the ancient Persian believes, man is made up of 9 parts, three of which are materials, three are ethereal, and the other three are spiritual. Among the spiritual compartments: 1. Beudang whose task is to convey the message of the senses to the soul through the nerve chain. 2. Orvan, which is the conscious mind or soul, and 3. Farhoshi or God's ray, which is the spiritual gem of the universe.
In Zoroastrian religion, human body and soul are combined, and it was recommended that people strive for the strength of both, and there is a belief that if the body becomes weak, it also affects the soul and causes its weakness.
