Peroxisome biology and metabolic homeostasis Lab

Welcome To Peroxisome Biology and Metabolic Homeostasis Lab Website

On the Peroxisome Biology and Metabolic Homeostasis Lab website, we invite you to have a look at our Research, Publications & Lab Members. Contact Us if you would like to know more about our research and for opportunities to join our lab! We are always looking for motivated researchers (at any level) to join us! We aim to create a diverse and multidisciplinar team to reveal the secrets of the peroxisome.

The Peroxisome Biology and Metabolic Homeostasis Lab at the University of Granada is led by Dr. Pablo Ranea-Robles. We are a new lab established at Centro de Investigación Biomédica (University of Granada) and integrated into CTS-101 unit (Intercellular communication). We are devoted to the study of metabolism. In particular, we investigate the role of an underappreciated organelle, the peroxisome, in metabolic homeostasis. We employ diverse in vitro and in vivo techniques to dissect the role of peroxisomes in health and disease. We are also interested in the interplay between peroxisomes and other cellular organelles, such as mitochondria, from a metabolic perspective.
