Prioritization & Phasing
Many factors affect project prioritization and execution including:
Risks to public safety
Risks to historic fabric
Potential public impact in building stakeholder support
Potential for advancing the overarching conservation vision
Availability of well-suited funding sources and opportunities
Donor interest
Available time and resources
Because of this, prioritizing work isn’t always a clear linear or hierarchical process, but having a clear overall sense of project goals, scopes, and relative urgency puts management in a position to direct efforts towards the most urgent needs and be prepared to take advantage of funding opportunities as they arise.
