Pelin Sekercioglu

Postdoctoral Researcher at KTH

Hello! I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Decision and Control Systems at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, working with Prof. Dimos Dimarogonas and Asst. Prof. Angela Fontan.

I obtained my Ph.D. in Automatic Control in November 2024 from Paris-Saclay University, France. My thesis is entitled “Control of Constrained Multi-Agent Systems with Cooperative and Antagonistic Interactions” and my work was carried out at ONERA - The French Aerospace Lab and L2S - Laboratory of signals and systems, under the supervision of Dr. Antonio Loria (CNRS), Dr. Ioannis Sarras (ONERA, DTIS) and Dr. Julien Marzat (ONERA, DTIS).

I received my B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2019 and my M.Sc. degree in Advanced Systems and Robotics in 2021, both from the Faculty of Science and Engineering, Sorbonne University, Paris, France. In 2023, I was a visiting researcher at the Engineering and Technology Institute Groningen, University of Groningen, collaborating with Prof. Bayu Jayawardhana (ENTEG, DTPA) on a barrier-Lyapunov function-based robust formation control design for a constrained robot manipulator network.

My research interests include multi-agent systems, signed graph theory, networked and nonlinear control with application to robotics and social networks. Head to Research for more details. You can reach me at pelinse [at] kth [dot] se.

[March 2026] 🤓 I am very pleased to be participating in the 3rd Digital Futures Young Scientist Conference 2026 on March 12, 2026, where I will present a poster on our recent work on "Topology Identification of Dynamical Signed Graphs".

[March 2026] 🎉 Our conference paper "Topology Identification of Dynamical Signed Graphs," has been accepted to ECC 2026. This is a joint work with N. Wang, A. Fontan, and D. V. Dimarogonas (DCS, KTH).

[February 2026] 🥳 I am very happy to announce that I started serving as the Finance Co-Chair of NextCom, a committee formed by the IEEE Control Systems Society that supports students and early-career researchers.

[December 2025] 🤓 I am excited to be participating in the Conference on Decision and Control 2025 in Rio de Janeiro from December 9 to 12, where I will be presenting our accepted paper, "Stability of Open Multi-agent Systems over Dynamic Signed Graphs" [pdf].

[November 2025] 🤓 I am very happy to be visiting Uppsala University, on November 17 to give a talk about my current research.

[June 2025] 🤓 I am excited to be participating in Reglermöte 2025 (Swedish Control Conference 2025) at Lund University from June 11 to 13, where I will present my recent work.

[March 2025] 🎉 Our conference paper "Formation Control of Flying Spacecraft over Signed Networks with Inter-Satellite Constraints," has been accepted to NOLCOS 2025 [pdf]. This is a joint work with I. Sarras (ONERA), A. Loría (CNRS), and J. Marzat (ONERA).
