Even for the conventional devices in the markets, the dimensions have shrunken to the level that the quantum effects cannot be ignored. We approach to this intriguing physical playground of small- and low-dimensions with the emphasis on practical concerns. Along with the exploration on interesting physics in the quantum world, utilizing those properties in real life and developing models to accurately account for them are the primary objects of our studies.
