32. Dr. Khurshedul Islam received the 2022 ECE Best Graduate Researcher Award! His research was focused on the design of ultra-high-speed machines. His project was sponsored by the National Science Foundation (Award # 1905434). Congratulation!

31. Mentored First Lego League team, Hyperspeed Girls, of the MSU Partnership Middle School, consisting of all female children, received the "Engineering Excellence Award" in the 2022 Mississippi Championship.

26. Successful 2021 EcoCar Mobility Challenge of Mississippi State University team. Dr. Choi is one of the faculty advisors (lead: Dr. Randy Follett). Ph.D. student, Moinul Haque, was the PSI lead. Amine Taoudi, ECE Ph.D student was granted First Place for the Mathworks Model Based Design Award. Amine Taoudi was also awarded runner-up in the Excellence in Leadership Award. Jonah Gandy, ECE MS student, is the graduate team lead for the CAVs swim lane. As a graduate team lead, his team was selected First Place for Best CAV System Testing Award in EcoCar Mobility Challenge.

19.  Dr. Choi received the 2019-2020 South East Conference Travel Grant. This will support the collaboration with the University of Arkansas in the area of Electromagnetic field (EMI) research in medium voltage DC grid and electric ship system with the wideband gap power switch (SiC / GaN).

UA’s team brought home a win with the Efficient Use of Communication Power Award, for the team that uses the lowest average data bandwidth per points earned based on quantities of regolith mined.
