Peer to Peer Empowerment is set to offer a practical solution to the rise of anxiety among youngsters who also face difficulties of different types, from economic, social or cultural barriers, to the lack of parental care.
Our 3Cs peer to peer program leads these young people to succeed in their life with an innovative approach focusing on strengthening:
Competence: is the ability to perform well in different areas of life, such as academics, social situations, and physical activities. In this case, our mission is to develop practical skills and emotional intelligence to navigate daily stressors.
Confidence: means having a positive self-image and belief in your own ability to succeed. Strengthening self-esteem becomes our target, together with the focus on personal strengths.
Connection: emphasizes positive relationships with family, friends, mentors, and community. This ivolves creating a sense of belonging through peer-to-peer networks, where no one is left alone with their own struggles.
By offering variety and diversity, our methodology will foster collaboration, communication and problem-solving skills, besides allowing knowledge and skills exchange in a non-formal learning approach.
Its effectiveness stems from the principles of Positive Youth Development, focused on what helps young people grow. This approach is fundamental because it addresses young people’s skills, relationships, belonging, and opportunities to participate, rather than emphasizing risks and problems.
Such a strong evidence-based foundation is embedded in this essential HANDBOOK
