"The Bathrooms" refers to a secret chat that was formed under the url "twitch.tv/quackityhq" that no longer exists. On April 15th 2021, Quackity removed the HQ letters from his twitch username, causing Peechat to separate into two chats-- the original, the HQ chat, and the new one, with the current username. The (some would consider unfortunate) change was done quickly and quietly, so Peechatters active at the time didn't even notice they were still in a chat that should not exist anymore. Due to the secrecy of the site, it was dubbed "The Bathrooms," a pun on "The Backrooms," referring to 'the outskirts of reality.' Credits to kicktriple for the name.

April 15th

At around 4 o'clock PM EST, the HQ was removed and it took about an hour for anyone to realize something was different. The HQ chat could be accessed by those who already had the site open for hours, or, as would be found out later, if you simply added HQ to the existing URL of Quackity's Twitch. Peechatters acted as usual for a while until noticing how unusually silent it had fallen, especially with the lack of a certain Peechatter that should have been there, Fly. They finally met up in Kickchat while Arctic was using it to send a link, which led to a misunderstanding because Fly had been in the "Quackity" Twitch chat that whole time. They figured out what happened to the name, and gave everyone in the Peechat Discord GC context, eventually leading to a big gathering in the Bathrooms. Meanwhile, in the main chat, outsiders that realized what happened began pouring in, mourning the HQ. Only a few were aware of the secret chat, and those who stumbled into it had no clue that it wasn't the real offline chat anymore.

What happened to The Bathrooms now?

Sadly, at about four in the morning EST, the Bathrooms became inaccessible to send messages, and the URL leads to an error screen as of now. There is very little possibility that the Bathrooms will ever return. In memory of it, a voice chat in the Peechat Penthouse was dubbed "Los Baños," obviously translating to The Bathrooms. This voice chat is still used incredibly often a year later.
