Nature Explore

At the elementary school, the schoolyard is Nature Explore certified. Areas are carefully designed to create growth in children through creative play and exploration of the outdoors. Students have the opportunity to connect with nature through activities such as making bird feeders from pine cones and tasting stir fry from vegetables they grew in garden boxes on site.

Composting at Ascension

Students have the opportunity to learn about composting and enjoying the wonder of worms.

Class Garden Boxes

Students work in their class garden beds, conduct naturalist observations, engage in science discovery activities, and complete STEM challenges.

Tomato Sale

In the teaching garden, each class grows tomatoes annually and sell the plants to the community.

Early Childhood Center

ECC children discover their God-given talents and gifts in a new, state-of-the-art facility which centers learning through thoughtfully planned outdoor spaces.
