Hi everyone. Season’s greetings.

I really missed putting out a Christmas Mixtape last year, what with writing and recording my EP of Christmas songs, so this year’s is a real bloated bumper 2CD (well, not quite) edition with all the trimmings, featuring lots of songs from 2013’s festive haul and even a few that I missed sharing from 2012’s selection too.

At 24 tracks long it’s a veritable advent playlist, featuring Barney Stinson’s trademark ‘all rise’ method of playlist curation. We traverse several genres of holiday classics, from swing and fusion jazz to soul and latin, passing through metal and punk, folk and country, with a couple of treats thrown in for good measure. At just shy of 80 minutes it’s pretty full on, so I won’t blame you if you don’t make it all the way through. If you do manage to make it all the way through Sufjan’s satirical intergalactic equine opus of a closer, you have my respect (and you may well get a little surprise for your troubles).

Enjoy, and feel free to share amongst those special to you. And while you do, remember to tell those special to you that they’re special to you and all that other gooey shhhhhow of emotion, because you never know..... Trust me.

Glad tidings and God’s blessings be unto you and upon your house and thine dogs and cats and children, for ever and ever.

Amen.

GUITAR SOLO!!
