my work @ Dominican
To my students:
As a child, I moved around the Mediterranean Sea and Persian Gulf with my parents who were school teachers. I've spent the last twenty years writing, and teaching composition, science, social justice, literature and critical (creative) thinking at many levels, from colleges, to juvenile detention centers and in corporations. I was the founding director of The Worldview Literacy Project, and currently serve as the Executive Director of Pseads Institute for Innovation and Learning.
My personal practices include Brazilian capoeira, taijiquan and meditation. I also have a continued passion for surfing (including metaphorically), basketball and playing soccer, having grown up playing the sport barefoot on dusty streets in small towns overseas.
