In addition to information concerning the fair, you will be able to find various resources that will help you teach the scientific method and bring enthusiasm to science.
Many across the Peace Region woke up to frigid temperatures and heavy, blowing snow on the morning of the 25th, and for some young scientists the wintery conditions proved too much. The organizers are disappointed that some of you were unable to make your way to the fair to share your projects, but we hope you are safe and warm and we hope to see you next year.
Although there were fewer of us in attendance than anticipated, the 2026 Peace Country Regional Science Fair went ahead in Peace River on Wednesday. Students, teachers, parents, and volunteers were warmly welcomed to the 42nd PCRSF for a fantastic day of discovery, comradery, and competition. For more detailed information about the day's events, please have a look at our PROGRAM, the PROJECT ZONE filled with this year's participants and their projects, and PHOTOS & VIDEO of the event.
The organizers would like to extend a heart-felt THANK YOU to the volunteer judges that shared their time and expertise with our region's budding young scientists - without you this event cannot happen. We would also like to acknowledge the generous support of our sponsors for making it possible to host this wonderful event. Secure Energy Services was this year's Platinum sponsor and the Holy Family Catholic Regional Division's generous donation of the venue is greatly appreciated. We would also like to thank our other sponsors from across the Peace Country (and beyond) including: Northern Sunrise County, Pembina, and SHAD Canada. Last but certainly not least are the members of the organizing committee who have volunteered their time to organize and put on the event. Thank you to everyone who made this year's event possible!
Finally, the students! You are the reason for this event! Congratulations to all of you for completing a science fair project and presenting it at this year's fair! You should all be proud of the work that you have done, regardless of the results. We hope that everyone had a great day and we hope to see you all again next year.
