I normally have a range of refurbished Windows PCs and Apple Macs for sale. 

All will have a minimum of a 250 GB SSD drive, 8 GB of RAM, Windows 11 or the latest MacOS. 

I either sell directly on without any changes - after checking everything is working as it should. Or I repair and / or upgrade to improve performance. Install fast SSD drives, add extra RAM, replace screens, keyboards etc. I can install fresh copies of Windows 10 or 11 or the latest version of MacOS. I can also install Microsoft Office for £50-£75 depending on the version required - this is a one off charge and NOT the subscription version Office 365.

If you have old laptops / desktop computers you should consider repairing / upgrading them as an alternative to buying new. It's much cheaper and helps reduce the amount going to landfill. 

Laptops can be repurposed as desktop computers - especially if they have damaged hinges, screens that are too expensive to repair. I have a number of laptop to desktop PCs for sale.
