The "Senior Paurshaka" course conducted by the Paurshaya band training association is aimed at enhancing the leadership skills and personality of students in the band troop of government & private schools.

Course curriculum
The "Senior Paurshaka" course consists of
practical session & 5 theoretical units, along with workshops.

Duration
6 months course (one day from the five days of the week can be reserved according to the agreement of the respective school)
The lectures are conducted in the respective school for 96 hours
Method of Evaluation
The course unit receives a score of 75 marks for the written test and 25 marks for the practical test, which adds up to 100 marks. Also, each unit must be assigned an assignment and a group assignment for the successful completion of each unit. A mark of 50 each is given for the individual assignments. Then 100 marks obtained from the written and practical test and the assignments marks are been added. Then the total is divide into 2 to get an average mark out of 100 as the final mark with the passing boundary of 50 marks. Students with higher marks will receive excellent awards.
Board of lecturers
Paurshaya lecturers are trained by a group of lectures who have passed a workshop with an assessment and have had many years of experience and expertise in the band training, attending the Paurshaya workshop conducted by the band association.

PREVIOUS SESSION
This opportunity is only available to students who are unable to attend the course due to an urgent reason. Also, in order to get this opportunity, the student must be a member of the "Paurshaya" Association. Also this opportunity is only valid for two days after the relevant session of the Senior "Paurshaka" Course.
