PURPOSE OF HARITHA PAURSHAYA PROJECT
The "Haritha Paurshaya" Project is implemented to provide practical knowledge of the environment and the value of a tree to students who are members of the "Paurshaya" Association. Also, this project is being implemented with the aim of planting 100,000 trees island wide and the objective of this project is to create a breath sharing generation.

World Environment Day Celebration - 2021
"Haritha Sithuvilla" (The Green Idea) Program
The "Green Idea" program, which was conducted along with the World Environment Day which held on 05th of June 2021, was launched by the "Senior Paurshaka" first batch students of Paurshaya Association.
Planted ten saplings on 26th of March 2021 in a selected land for the anniversary of the "Paurshaya"Association.
Distribution of plants for the "Haritha Paurshaka" Badge to the students of the Cp/Gz/Paththunupitiya Maha Vidyalaya Band on 09/04/2021.

Since the beginning, trees have furnished us with two of life’s essentials, food and oxygen. As we evolved, they provided additional necessities such as shelter, medicine, and tools. Today, their value continues to increase and more benefits of trees are being discovered as their role expands to satisfy the needs created by our modern lifestyles.
PURPOSE OF "PAURSHA ROPAKA"
BADGE & CERTIFICATE
The purpose of awarding "Paursha Roopaka" badge and Certificate under the "Haritha Paurshaya" Project is to train students who are members of the "Paurshaya" Association on how to properly plant and how to care for the plant safely after planting. This Medal and Certificate is awarded by the Project Officer in charge of the project after informing us that the student has filled out the application form provided below and shows the evidence that the plant has been cared for one year.
