LATEST NEWS FOR THE PAURSHAYA ASSOCIATION

"Ape Pata- 2022" Art Exhibition and Competition.

The "Ape Pata-2022" art exhibition and competition was held on the 05/10/2022 at the Police headquarters of Nawalapitiya. This event was organized by The Eagle Mission Foundation of Sri Lanka, the Institute of Paurshaya, and the police of Nawalapitiya, in hopes of showcasing the artistic skill of schooling students.

Distribution of Certificates.

The certificates related to the completion of level one of the 'Senior Paurshaka' work plan conducted by the Band training association of the Paurshaya Institute of Leadership and Skill Development, was distributed at Nawalapitiya Oxford College on 29/09/2022.

Flood Relief Charity Program- 2022

The 2nd program organized under 'Sathkara Paurshaya' with the purpose of offering relief to the people affected heavily by recent flash floods. The community was offered clothes, mats, bed sheets and rice on 14/08/2022 and 17/08/2022. It was done with the participation of the founder and honorary chairman of the Paurshaya institute, Rajinda Ishadara Earnest and the board of directors. We express our heartfelt gratitude to the donor council of Jayasundara Muslim mosque and to all the other generous supporters of this program who helped in every way possible. Thank you for keeping the will of humanity alive!

Poson "Koththamalli" Dansala - 2022

On 2022/06/14 (Poson poya day-2022), the institute of Paurshaya organized this event for the first time under the 'Sathkara paurshaya' program at the premises of Nawalapitiya base hospital. We express our gratitude to the administration board, the secretary, the officers, and the students of Paurshaya as well as the others who supported us throughout the event for making this a resonant success.

St.John's First Aid Course

This was an in-depth, two day educational program conducted by St. Johns on first aid and it's applications at Nawalapitiya Oxford College. It was organized by the association of Paurshaya. The program was completed successfully on the 10th of April, 2022. The students were taught about the fundamentals of first aid and were given instructions on how to perform it in a safe way followed by an exam.

The "Pahana Sithuvilla" program was launched today (2021/06/24) by the students of "Paurshaya" Leadership Training Course.

"Father's Love" (Father's Day Celebration)

Today the 20th of June 2021 we celebrated "Father's Day" under the theme "Father's Love" along with the first batch students at "Paurshaya" Leadership Training Course. They came up with creative badges and greeting for their beloved father.

"Haritha Sithuvilla" (The Green Idea) Program

The "Green Idea" program, which was conducted along with the World Environment Day which held on 05th of June 2021, was launched by the "Senior Paurshaka" first batch students of Paurshaya Association.

"Vesak Sisilen" Dhamma Sermon

The "Vesak Sisilen" the cool breeze of vesak Dhamma sermon preached by Wewalagama Sri Kaveeswara Veluwanarama Vihara Ven. Wewalagama Jinalankara was held on 27.05.2021 via Zoom.

"hadawathe Uththamacharaya" Program

Under the theme "Hadawathe Uththamacharaya" (Heartisious Respect ) we invited the 1st batch of students of the Paurshaya Association's "Senior Paurshaka" to protect the heroes who are working hard to protect us from the deadly corona pandemic in the country! The creative lantern lightening Program created by the members of the Paurshaya Association was a great success with the senior Paurshaya students’ participation at the program that was held on 26.05.2021 at 8.00 pm.

"Senior Paurshaka" course starting ceremony

Today we held our "Senior Paurshaka" course starting ceremony at Nawalapitiya Oxford College grounds with the presence of Principal, College Management, sectional heads. Due to covid -19 pandemic the cultural events took placed at school grounds. On the same day the ceremony took placed via ZOOM with the presence of students of Oxford College Nawalapitiya.

You too can participate in the "Esala Rekha" Online Art Exhibition organized by the "Paurshaya" Band Training Association for the 2021 Esala Perahera. Therefore, fill in the following information sheet before 2021/08/20 and send us your thoughts on the Esala Perahera as a creative drawing.

* Any medium can be used for graphic design. Ex: - (Pastel / Watercolors / Collage)

* The drawing should be drawn on A4 size paper.

* There is no age limit.
