Section 1 | Ethos

Community Moderation is a core functionality of the expansive and continually active communications server centralized in relation to Paragon, acting as a core safeguard against civil dissidence, violations of defined policies and external attacks. Alongside this obligation of defense, Moderation Staff are also expected to work in a community relations aspect, hosting events, reporting concerns and acting as a representative entity. Community Moderation is considered an official extension of the Manufacturing Department and therefore answers to the Founders; however, it also draws insight from Overwatch Command and the senior moderation. 

Moderators are expected to uphold four core values, a form of Ethos, during the execution of any official duty or expectation, as defined below. Failure to meet these core values subjects you to termination from your position. 

Impartiality

Moderators must remain impartial, fair and non-bias during the execution of all duties.

Cooperation

You are expected to work in a customer-service capacity, cooperating with the community and your fellow staff. 

Dedication

You are expected to remain dedicated to your role, showing a relative level of ingenuity and independence while also remaining active and loyal to the policies outlined to you.

Credibility

You represent the entirety of the moderation team in your position. Being involved in shameful situations places the entire team in a bad light, resulting in a loss of all credibility and trust.
