I like to write about my experiences.
This is a list of all the articles I've written (in italian):
Over the last few years I have received some special gifts and for which I am extremely grateful. Not only they made me happy reading the accompanying message but they will help make our planet a better place. I have received trees that have been planted in my name around the globe. Planting trees is hard work. Not only from a technical point of view - in fact, skills and resources are needed to create suitable places for small trees to germinate and grow - but also and above all from a strategic point of view. Planting trees is not enough, they must be accompanied in their growth. This means thinking about the medium and long term and for this it is necessary to identify the right tree for the right place and the right purpose. The projects made for the planting of the trees that were given to me respond exactly to these needs. The benefits are certainly at an environmental level and take place both locally and globally. But there is a social aspect that shouldn't be underestimated, aimed at the local communities that participate and give life to the various projects. Financing, community building, training and technical assistance are the fundamental steps to start this kind of project. But above all, it is crucial that communities derive direct benefits from trees in terms of food resources and economic opportunities. They are guardians of the trees, they will enjoy their fruits.
I am very happy to have received these gifts and to see my two forests grow:
This year for me has been a year of restart at 360° after two years of almost complete stop. If I have to define it in one word: overwhelming.
I lived two months in Spain between Valencia and Barcelona, finally attended live GrUSP conferences for a total of more than 30 events including meetups and conferences. I gave 5 talks, I was interviewed for my first time and I participated in a podcast. I organized my first TEDx in Cuneo, followed more than 10 training courses, read more than 65 books, travelled Italy from north to south spending more than 33 weeks on the road, took 14 flights, structured and constantly implemented my routine and methods for retrospective, self-analysis and self-improvement. I attended my first year at Hogwarts and jumped into something I've never done like role-playing games and experienced different pub and themed events. I opened an instagram page dedicated to Cissone and thus started my imperfection project. I went back to talking about philosophy, I gave my mother a hand in cultivating the garden (although there are still many improvements to be made), I supported a company in structuring its organization and in digitization, I discovered the fantastic world of Couchsurfing and known more than 100 people of the community. I have developed many projects and initiatives in addition to those I have worked on professionally. In all of this I also decided to throw myself into a new adventure by changing jobs and testing myself even more with the new year.
This time I limited myself: 30 days, 9 events of which 3 were co-organised, 7 cities and 3 talks. The number of new people met and km traveled remains constant: indefinable.
2022 has been a year of restart for us in every respect.
This year we organized:
10 conferences,
5 online events
as well as 10 workshops and other smaller events.
We received support from 50 sponsors, 5 supporters, 150 partners and 3380 attendees among all the events organized.
11 events in 8 different cities in the last 30 days of which 6 were co-organised. 3 talks and MC at 2 conferences. Time spent in Cissone: 4 days. New people met and km traveled: indefinable. Food eaten: too much.
This is the first video interview I've had. I was hosted on Diana Bernabei's Twitch channel to tell about my journey and imposter syndrome.
Girls write code. Amazing, huh? Some even say they write it better. We tried to find out if it's true. We talked about it with the creators of the Girls Code It Better project and Giulia from GrUSP, trying to solve an arcane mystery: girls, where are you?
Edoardo Dusi and Claudio Serena of SparkFabrik interviewed me together with Costanza Turrini, Jessica Redeghieri and Giulia Tosato.
2021 was a really intense year for GrUSP, full of changes and the launch of new projects.
To launch IWD 2021 in Turin, the guys from Insidedevcode interviewed me about the talk I will give during the event. This explains what biases are, why it is important to recognize and manage them to create more inclusive, diversified and accessible teams to create increasingly competitive products and services.
Together with Coderdojo Campobasso and the GDG Bari, we organized an event to teach elementary school students the basics of programming. With our guidance, the children created a system using Arduino that would allow them to understand whether plants were healthy or not based on the humidity level of the ground.
I've always wanted to attend Google I/O even though I am not very familiar with the topics covered. But this overseas experience, together with many other Italian GDGs, was truly wonderful and full of very interesting new encounters.
My first ever summit was the one dedicated to the WTM Ambassadors in Europe. We met in Madrid and it was a wonderful opportunity to get to know each other, exchange ideas and put new projects on track.
