For the best and the full X2vol experience, students should use a web browser. This allows you to see the X2vol dashboard, access notes regarding the status of your hours, and navigate the additional features not available on the mobile app.
Service Learning (aka volunteering) is an excellent way to develop character and gain valuable life experience throughout high school. Guilford County Schools uses the X2Vol platform for students to log and track hours spent volunteering with nonprofit organizations. Students can also earn a Service Learning Certificate or Service Learning Diploma upon graduation.
Students can participate in volunteer activities through clubs and organizations affiliated with Page and GCS. They can also volunteer with community organizations as long as they've completed their Service Learning Approval Form prior to logging the hours.
Clubs like Key Club, LUX, DECA, and Team Voyage pride themselves on completing meaningful service for Page.
We have partnerships with well-known nonprofits in the area such as BackpackBeginnings and GreenHill Center for NC Art. See below for the list of all Pre-Approved Opportunities.

Community & Campus Opportunities: These are pre-approved clubs and activities conducted by / through / with Page High School or Guilford County Schools. Students will select these from "Find Opportunities" in X2vol. Once you've added them to your opportunities list, they will show automatically when you go to "Add Hours."
Personal Projects: These are outside opportunities and nonprofits. Students must complete the Service Learning Approval Form and receive approval from Ms. Rich before logging these hours as "Personal Projects" in X2Vol.
2024 Update: GCS has updated their policies around service learning hours earned through donation-based projects.
Students can earn hours through active participation in planning and execution of drives (organizing the drive, promoting the event, collecting and sorting donations).
Students cannot earn hours simply for donating items. Visit the GCS Service Learning Website for more information.
