Student Eligibility: Students enrolled in Guilford County Schools are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following criteria:
(1) Currently enrolled in the 11th Grade; OR
(2) Tenth grader seeking nomination in Dance, Choral Music, or Instrumental Music
Note: Students enrolled in Guilford County Schools as an Exchange Student are not eligible to apply.
AND
A student must meet at least one of the criteria listed below:
- Cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.25 or higher; or
- Cumulative weighted GPA of 3.5 or higher; or
- Score of 4 or higher on an NC EOC assessment; or
- Score of 3 or higher on an AP exam; or
- Minimum composite score of 19 on Pre-ACT/ACT or a minimum of 1010 on the PSAT/SAT; or
- one of the other methods listed on the NCDPI information
Tuition and Fees: The tuition fee is covered by Guilford County Schools. As such, there is no cost to the students nominated by Guilford County Schools and selected by the state to attend NC Governor's School.
Tentative Dates: Please visit the NCDPI website below to get current information regarding the dates of this Summer program. Unless the program has a scheduled break, students accepted into the program must agree to attend all dates and remain on the campus.

How to Apply:
Attend the Virtual GCS Info Session (September 12th or October 1st at 6pm).
Submit the Page HS Letter of Intent Form.
Download and save the Student Application (Available on the NCDPI website referenced above)
Download, save, and share the Recommendation Form with two adults who can attest to your academic/art strengths, personal character, and readiness (Available on the NCDPI website linked above)
Submit your application to Ms. Cook in Counseling Center by the end of school day: Tuesday 10/24/2023 (no late applications will be accepted)
