World Class Education

For far too long, the profession of teaching has been treated as an almost second rate position. The Atlantic Commonwealth must invest more into teacher salaries so that they have the confidence and comfortability to lead our next generation to greater things. We have also often left our teachers in the dust as inflation skyrockets and prices rise for basic goods. That's why we must index teacher pay to inflation so that we need not constantly fight and bicker over raising teacher pay.

Pacman will also push for a merit based teacher bonus bill that will ensure teachers who do great things will get great pay. We can not forget that teachers have the lives of our future in our hands, and Pacman will ensure that we are appropriately compensating our teachers.

Unfortunately, many of our state's schools have devolved into a dilapidated condition. A result of poor funding and organization. As Governor, Pacman will support measures to send funds to our schools which are in the worst shape not just based off of school population and local wealth. We need a commission which can independently allocate funds to schools which are in desperate need.

As Governor, Pacman will ensure that no schools are allowed to continue on without proper funding to fix severe maintenance issues. Our teachers and our students deserve far better than dilapidated schools, broken windows, and the wrecked dreams that emanate from it.

Pacman will work to allow open transfer across our state, so that our students, and their parents, can choose where they are educated without having to uproot their lives. Students deserve to be able to attend whichever school they think will best fit their needs and goals, and that is why Pacman will make it a priority to allow open transfer for our children. While doing this, Pacman will make sure that schools aren't unduly punished for losing students to other schools. Everyone deserves the education they want, and they deserve a world class education. As Governor, Pacman will ensure that every Atlantean grows up in a world class education system.
