Bike Rodeo Coordinator

Our first pack event of the year is the Bike Rodeo.  It is also a fantastic recruiting event — any new boys or girls interested in scouting should come and join us!

The first Sunday afternoon after school starts up in August seems to be a good time for most families.

The Bike Rodeo Coordinator is responsible for:

• Communications – work with the recruiting coordinator to get the word out (Facebook, NextDoor, pack556.com website, large scout banner, etc.)

• Create Sign-Up Genius link for volunteers

  • Make 100 “check-off” cards

  • 10 Adults to set up and staff stations, including 3 adults for bike/helmet inspection

  • 1 person to arrive with 100 popsicles

  • 1 adult to coordinate with LGPD on date/time and content of short talk

• Decide what the bike rodeo stations will be (ideas here)

Bike Rodeo Schedule

1-3pm Setup for Bike Rodeo

2-3pm Volunteers Show up (station setup)

3-4pm Scouts cycle through the Bike Rodeo

4pm  Popsicles

4:15 – Police Presentations
