A Denner is not the boss of the Den, which every Cub Scout wants to be, right?

This positions is very different then the Denner position. The Den Chief position is much like an adult leaders position. Are they the boss? No, they are simply an extension of the Den leader and are quite capable of performing the same task that the Den Leader does. The Den leader is always in charge of planning and executing the meetings. The Den Chief is their to assist the Den Leader with the execution of the meeting or event.
