What is a wagon sale?
A wagon sale is where a scout takes a small amount of product and goes around a neighborhood and sells popcorn that they have. The inventory on hand is meant to be enough to fit in a wagon that the scout can pull with them. While the scout is expected to be the one to initiate the sale, they MUST be with a responsible adult.
A wagon sale is NOT the same as a take order sale, which is meant to be used with friends, family, and co-workers whom you see regularly.
Once an item has been sold out you no longer have the product available to sell. If you choose, you can treat any items not on hand like a take sale. You would mark the item "undelivered" and deliver the product once it comes in - typically in early December. This is NOT required and is an option, only if you would like to deliver it. The scout is responsible for delivering the product once it comes in.
Wagon sales can be done as many times as you would like, as long as we have product available for the sales.
All sales rewards go directly to the scout. If selling with a sibling, or another scout, you can toggle between each scout on the app for sales, or if you reach out to us (prior to selling) and it can be set up to be an even split.
To do a wagon sale, you must reach out to popcorn royalty at least 24 hours before you are wanting to do a wagon sale.
How to Enter a Wagon Sale
Open the Trails End app on your phone.
Make sure you are logged into the child you are signing up for a shift.
On the bottom in the middle click the icon for "wagon sales."
Click the "start sale" button in the bottom middle of the screen.
Choose the items and quantity desired.
Click "checkout"
Check to make sure the "delivered" icon is blue. This indicates that you are handing the product directly to the person as they purchase it.
Choose the method of payment - Cash, QR code, or Credit.
All methods will offer the option to send a receipt via email or phone.
Click no receipt or enter information and then the send button.
What if I am delivering at a later date?
Follow all instructions to enter a sale in.
Uncheck the "delivered" icon.
When you choose the method of payment, you will be prompted to enter in contact information for delivery. This information does NOT go to TrailsEnd and will only be used by you to deliver the product when it arrives (early to mid-December).
Continue through payment, like normal.
