What is a show and sell?

A show and sell, or storefront sale, is where a scout signs up for a shift, typically with one other scout, and sells popcorn in front of a business. Sales rewards are split between all scouts based on overall sales for the day at that location.

Show and Sell Etiquette

• Trash cans at the show and sell location should only be used for their trash, any trash from our show and sells should be gathered and disposed of elsewhere.

• Scouts should be dressed in Class A uniform, if you do not have a Class A uniform wear a Class B uniform, another scout shirt, or dressy clothes. Remember we are fundraising for cub scouts, people want to see the kids in uniform.

• Clean up the area and make it look better than when we arrive.

• No food or beverages are allowed while selling. Any beverages should be kept behind the table and out of sight.

• Scouts should be standing in front of the table, not behind.

• Scouts can take money, but parents finalize all transactions.

• Be polite, always tell people "thank you," "have a great day," and smile.

• If okay with parents scouts are welcome to get shopping carts and return to the store for customers.

• Just remember, we want to give the stores - who are generous enough to let us use their location, and customers - who are helping fund our year, a positive impression of Cub Scouts.

Any cash donations that are given to the pack need to be recorded on the donation sheet and placed in the envelope with cash payments.
