Pre-preparation

This page will guide you through the preparation you need to do after registration and before starting the tuning sessions. Preparation will include few calculations of which you will be thoroughly guided through.

Design Data

We understand that your data (both design data and test data) is precious to you and that is why we are ready to step forward to assure you your right to secrecy. We will be signing a 'Non disclosure agreement' which will bind both of us from sharing results learnt from our data sharing and experiments.

Here are few points that teams need to know depending on the procedure teams want to follow

(For the teams which are new to CVT tuning)

Gearbox ratio selection

• Vehicle weight
• Tyre size
• Target top speed
• Target acceleration time
• Avg Centre to centre distance of your CVT

Acceleration tuning

• Vehicle weight
• Tyre size
• Gearbox ratio
• Detailed study of cluth tuning hand book
• Target shifting speed
• Target engagement speed
• Detailed inertais of all rotating components (for final stage of tuning - prior to event)

Hill Climb Tuning

• Vehicle weight
• Tyre size
• Gearbox ratio
• Detailed study of cluth tuning hand book
• Target shifting speed
• Target engagement speed

Centre to centre distance tuning

• We recommend following this procedure according to your convinience of tuning either at end of fine tuning or before fine tuning.
• Driveline engineer should have adequate understanding of our test rig, its procedures and results produced before starting this procedure.

Pedal Box Training

• Teams who wish to train their drivers using their own pedal box should contact at us paceindia.pratik@gmail.com to know types of connections available.
