🔔 SURVEY

The first part of OVCO's TLAD (Tenant Leadership Against Displacement) project is officially live! Go to this link to find our 'Tenants' Needs Survey'. We want to hear from all tenants in the neighbourhood (Oakwood Vaughan and west Little Jamaica) - no matter what type of housing you are in! In addition, if you previously were a tenant in the area but you got displaced the survey is also for you!

If you aren't a local tenant please share widely with everyone you know who is/might be! This survey along with upcoming focus groups will provide the basis for growing tenant leadership and collective action in the neighbourhood.

Currently the survey is only available in English but we are working on translating it to common languages in the community. If you have any specific requests for language translations let us know at housing.ovco@gmail.com. Be part of the solution!

Community residents are invited to be a part of a co- design event for tenant protections. The Oakwood Vaughan Community Organization (OVCO) is continuing its series of "Tenant Leadership Against Displacement" (TLAD) group sessions. Whether you have attended one of our previous group sessions (aka "focus groups") or this is your first time, participants will engage in lively discussion around what we can do better to promote and protect our tenant rights. We will explore the pressing tenant issues brought up in previous focus groups and how collective action can help solve these issues. Come out to explore and contribute what you think are possible solutions to these issues! The aim is to work together on solutions and get inspired around next steps! OVCO through its TLAD group sessions is committed to community- informed change.
