These safety guidelines are provided to help you prepare for safe and responsible outdoor activities while using Outventure. Your safety is your own responsibility. Always exercise good judgment, follow local regulations, and prioritize personal well-being during any outdoor adventure.
Outventure provides tools such as navigation, maps, trail markers, and summit verification. However:
Outdoor activities involve inherent risks.
Terrain, weather, and environmental conditions may change unexpectedly.
All hiking, trekking, and exploration are done at your own risk.
Outventure is not responsible for injuries, accidents, device damage, loss of property, or any harm that occurs during physical activities.
Always use Outventure as a supportive tool—not as your sole source of navigation or decision-making.
Prepare thoroughly before beginning any mission:
Ensure you have selected your mountain while online (required).
Cache the map and navigation data at least once before the hike (required).
Confirm your device’s GPS is functioning properly.
Bring a fully charged device and a backup power bank.
Carry essential outdoor gear, including:
Proper footwear
Weather-appropriate clothing
Navigation tools (compass, printed map as backup)
Personal medication
Emergency whistle
Sufficient water and food
Flashlight or headlamp
First aid kit
Check the weather forecast before departure.
Avoid climbing in dangerous or unpredictable conditions.
Be aware that the app’s trail or summit data may not reflect real-time environmental changes.
Follow safe hiking practices while using the app’s features:
Use the built-in compass and map as a guide, not a replacement for outdoor skills.
Always stay on official trails when possible.
Understand that GPS accuracy may vary due to trees, cliffs, fog, or atmospheric conditions.
Maintain a comfortable pace.
Stay hydrated and take regular breaks.
Stop immediately if you feel unwell or unsafe.
If an emergency occurs:
Contact local authorities or rescue services.
Do not rely on the app to request help.
Your safety and survival should take priority over completing the mission.
Outventure detects your summit position automatically.
Verification can be done offline.
The Finish Mission button requires an online connection.
Only press Finish once you are in a safe, stable environment.
Do not perform risky actions (such as climbing unstable rocks) just to reach a precise GPS point.
Outventure allows offline summit detection, but:
Ensure maps and data are cached before going offline.
Bring a physical backup navigation method.
Be aware that offline data may not include sudden changes such as landslides, closed trails, or new hazards.
When possible:
Hike with a partner or team.
Share your route plan with a friend or family member.
Inform someone when you expect to return.
Follow local rules, permits, and restrictions.
Stay on trails to reduce environmental impact.
Avoid disturbing wildlife.
Dispose of waste properly.
Protect your phone from extreme weather, shocks, or water.
Use a waterproof case where necessary.
Keep your device stored securely during steep or hazardous sections.
Outventure is a tool to enhance your outdoor experience.
You are solely responsible for:
Your decisions
Your physical safety
Your preparedness
Your navigation choices
Your compliance with local laws
If you are unsure about your ability to complete a hike safely, choose a simpler route or postpone the activity.
