why a stylist?
why a stylist?
A personal stylist is a lot like therapy, but with clothes! My job is to guide you and support you throughout your style journey so that when we are done working together, you’ll be confident shopping and putting together outfits by yourself. I can help figure out your unique style, how to shop, how to style outfits, and how to meet your sensory needs. I also have a background in social work that is very relevant to the style work I’m doing now. Switching up your style can be a deeply vulnerable and emotional process because fashion has everything to do with who we are! I’m here to be a safe space to help you work through any insecurities you may have around fashion, your relationship with your body, and your gender presentation.
Working with a personal stylist can be expensive, but it will save you money in the long run. If you are struggling to figure out your style and what clothes feel right for you, you’re going to keep buying clothes you don’t like, getting rid of them, and buying more clothes. That gets really expensive. Working with a personal stylist is an investment that will help you figure out exactly what you like so when you do buy new clothes, you’ll keep them for a very long time. I’m also super thrifty and have tons of tips to help you find affordable clothing!
If you’re still on the fence about whether or not a personal stylist is right for you, ask yourself how you’re feeling right now in your current clothes. Are you okay with continuing to feel that way? If not, then, personal styling might be the right choice for you! I can testify from first hand experience that having clothes that feel good and feel like you will change your life.
