The Millennium Summit of the United Nations in 2000 set the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), which have achieved progress in poverty reduction and other aspects but still face challenges. The United Nations Sustainable Development Summit in 2015 adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, establishing 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), aiming to promote global sustainable development from multiple dimensions including economy, society and environment.
"SDG Act Now" is an initiative campaign launched by the United Nations, aiming to inspire people to take actions to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This campaign provides action guidelines covering various aspects such as energy, transportation, and consumption. It also introduces a mobile application to facilitate people's selection, recording of actions, checking of results, and promoting the global transition towards a healthier and more sustainable direction.
