WHAT IS SDG ?
In September 2015, the 193 member countries of the United Nations adopted the "Transforming Our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development" at the Sustainable Development Summit in New York, in which the SDGs are the core content. It is a comprehensive and systematic system of development goals aimed at promoting sustainable development in the three areas of the economy, society and resource environment, jointly enhancing the well-being of all humankind.
WHY THE WORLD NEEDS SDGS ?
The proposal of the SDGs has inspired the sense of responsibility and motivation of governments, businesses, social organizations and citizens, and encouraged all parties to actively participate in the process of sustainable development. It is not only a system of goals, but also a programme of action to mobilize global forces. The SDGs are an important tool for addressing global challenges, promoting equitable and inclusive development, promoting sustainable economic growth, safeguarding long-term human well-being and guiding the direction of global development. It embodies the common vision and responsibility of humanity for the future and is a key path to achieving sustainable development.
