Hello, everyone! My name is Ms. Miller (Sarah), and I am so excited to welcome all of our new and returning students and families to a wonderful year of learning together ar Lochside School in Grade 1. I strive to offer a caring and engaging learning environment, sharing with my students a joyful approach to learning through exploration, play, inquiry, and discovery. Please know that I consider it a privilege to teach your children, and look forward to guiding them as they learn and grow this year. 

As an educator I am passionate about inquiry-based learning, collaboration, early literacy, and outdoor education. Our learning is often student-led, combine cross-curricular projects and opportunities to follow and investigate interests and wonders. Much of our learning experiences are outdoors, so get ready for some adventures in the amazing natural spaces surrounding Lochside School. 

Below I'm sharing some personal favourites to help families get to know me better. The students will be creating a similar picture collage to share about themselves as well. Please feel free to come and say hello at pick-up or drop-off, or send me an email/call the school anytime as I am eager to get to know all my students and families more!
