Orlagh has always loved to sew.
As her mother worked as a professional seamstress she had the chance to pick up her first needle when she was merely 8 years of age. Starting out with simple patches and barbie doll clothing, it was clear from the beginning that she had a knack for creation.
When she was 15 she created her first corset, it was rainbow with pink trim. Of course, it was too large and fairly misshapen but that never stopped her from wearing it down to the bone..ning.
Her favorite holiday quickly became Halloween where she could create fabulous, and very accurate, costumes of all her favorite characters from Anna of Arendal, to Rey of Tatooine.
When her Amtgard career began, Orlagh had a new outlet to improve her skills. The moment she joined was when the inspiration board went up, she scrolled endlessly through fantasy photos and garbing stores for ideas. Of course, many of her ideas outweighed her skill level but that didn't stop her from adding them to the "For later" file.
By her third month in Amtgard she had her first set, a blue wool tunic trimmed with blue flames, a faux leather belt that she pieced together from scraps, and a very uncomfortable set of brown pants that she tried to copy off a website.
She was ready to go!
Since then she has continued her journey and crafted items for not only herself but for many others as well. From quick creations to full commissions Orlagh's journey has only just begun.
