Biography:
Sir Baronetess Orlagh "Jag" Sinikta, The Forkless Fae, joined Amtgard officially in the fall of 2019, after attending a local convention and meeting the members of River Watch (previously Ominous Valley). She quickly fell in love with the game, both sport, and community alike, and began her journey in Amtgardia.
From the beginning of her Amtgard career, she has always had a focus on the Arts and Sciences. By January 2020, only three months in, she created her first sword and a full set of garb (pictured left).
Unfortunately, mere months after joining, the plague hit. After only having a taste of the game, everything was shut down and Orlagh was locked away. Though in the dark a spark of hope began, the online Amtgard community boomed and Orlagh was able to attend classes, meet others from all across Amtgardia, and was able to develop her knowledge and character within Amtgard. Thankfully during breaks between waves of the plague, Orlagh was able to attend a few events where her love of the game cemented.
As the world re-opened Orlagh felt as though she was ready to take on more and give back to the community. She was elected as Regent of Ominous Valley and made waves holding record breaking competitions and various events.
In the summer of 2022 Orlagh traveled across the country to attend BotD. While there Sir Corwyn Lindenson, The Maple Prince of the Empire of Rivermore, offered Orlagh her squires belt. Eager to prove herself and begin her journey to knighthood she accepted. She could have not asked for a better mentor, not only an amazing crafter, Sir Corwyn also possessed amazing leadership and problem solving skills which assisted Orlagh to ensure that her ideas could be implemented smoothly. Later that same summer Orlagh assisted in running her very first campout event, Omens: Into the Fey Wilds. Here she had the opportunity to showcase her quest planning and event organizing skills. The best way to summarize the event comes from the words on one Tarlach Ilias who proclaimed that Omens "Is the best event [he's] ever been to!"
As time progressed so did Orlaghs Amtgard career. She attended many more events, both local and in far away kingdoms, in hopes to learn the ways of Amtgard afar and bring them back to her home lands. In 2024 she traversed many, many, many, miles to the Empire of Rivermoore to attend Known World War. Here she met more of her belted family and truely felt at home <3 Memories of those days will be cherished for years to come! In her own lands, Orlagh worked tirelessly to build up her home park and in June of 2024 the Barony of River Watch was elevated to Duchy status! Orlagh was elected to be the 2nd Duke of River Watch and continued to serve her community to the best of her ability!
What will Orlagh do next...?
