In hospital or prison settings - the professionals will choose the best safety practice.
Colourful papers can be available,
Affordable cost, as paper is not expensive compare with other equipments,
Sometimes origami is a puzzle which activate the thinking process,
It can be used in diversional therapy and/or improve concentration,
Helps people to stay alert without disturbing others,
Choices of papers with different colours,
Choices of folding simple or challenging models,
Choices of either as an observer or as participant,
Choices of either practising by self or with others,

A knife thrower
Ismael Adolfo Cerceda 1923-1979 was a talented magician in Argentina.
Besides being a gifted origamist he was a knife thrower who used paper folding to calm his nerves.

Helen Holtam MBE started origami classes for inmates at Erlestoke Prison in 2017 .
...... , inmates have been crafting swans, doves, stars and penguins from paper - helping themselves, but also raising money for prisoner rehabilitation. Helen Holtam ......began the classes in 2017.
Helen had taught challenging school pupils before so took on the task:..........
The organisation asked those who joined what they made of it, with feedback ranging from it being an "escape", to it being something where one can "relax and yet still be focused".
