Our mission:
"To enable and unite Canadians by providing Data evidence and tools to help each other in the time of hardships caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and associated government measures"
By building state-of-art Dashboards and tracking Data over time,
we make Observations and prepare Communications,
which are delivered to politicians, lawyers and general public,
as well as discussed at our open weekly webinars.
We use Data ONLY from Official Government sources.

Googlesheet that tracks data from these sources is here.
We use the terminology and definitions ONLY from Official Government sources.
Click here to see the list of key terms and their definitions.
These terms are tracked in Googlesheet here
Definitions used in [PHAC-0]
Cumulative number of people who have received at least 1 dose
Cumulative number of partially vaccinated people
Cumulative number of fully vaccinated people
Cumulative number of fully vaccinated people with an additional dose
Definitions used in [PHAC-1] (Table 2 - Definitions)
PHAC monitors cases following vaccination using the following categories:
0 dose =
Unvaccinated cases: include those who were unvaccinated at the time of their episode date.1 dose <14 days =
Cases not yet protected from vaccination include those whose episode date occurred less than 14 days after their first dose of the vaccine.1 dose 14+ & 2 doses <14 days =
Partially vaccinated cases include those whose episode date occurred 14 days or more after their first vaccine dose or less than 14 days after their second dose of the vaccine.(either 2 doses or 1 J&J dose) 14+ days, or 3 doses (+) <14 days =
Fully vaccinated cases include those whose episode date occurred 14 days or more after receipt of a second dose in a two-dose series or 14 days or more after receipt of one dose of a one-dose vaccine series,, and, if an additional (i.e., third or booster) dose was received, 0 to <14 days after receipt of the additional dose.3+ doses 14+ days =
Fully vaccinated cases with an additional dose include those whose episode date occurred 14 days or more following the receipt of at least one additional dose (e.g., third or booster) of a COVID-19 vaccine product, after being fully vaccinated.
Note: A COVID-19 vaccine product includes vaccines authorized by Health Canada and vaccines accepted by the Government of Canada for the purpose of travel to and within Canada.

Observations
Click here for the summary of reported observations.
Go to Analysis for more observations and results.
Excess deaths
There are more total and excess deaths after vaccination than before vaccination - especially among young people (0 to 44). Read more.
Statistics Canada has removed the data related to the spike of deaths after vaccination among young people (0 to 44) in New Brunswick. Read more.
Vaccine efficacy
Data show that vaccines reduce COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations and deaths with COVID-19. The efficacy of each vaccine dose however diminished over time, and they may cause severe side-effects, including deaths. Read more.
No significant reduction is observed since December 2021 ('Significant' refers to least by a factor of ten)
Since April 2022, people with one dose have the least count of Cases. Read more.
Since August 2021, percentage of fully vaccinated in the weekly count of COVID-19 cases has been increasing faster than the vaccination rate, more than double by January 2022.
Algorithmic bias is embedded in calculation of reported percentages of fully vaccinated in COVID-19 cases that skews the results in favour of fully vaccinated. Read more.
As provinces switched to using the new "protected" category, "Fully vaccinated" with 2 doses are now "unprotected", unless they take another shot. Read more.
Individuals dying within 2 weeks of vaccination are not counted as vaccinated. Read more.
Vaccine side effects
Vaccine side-effects are reported with several months delay.
Some people complained that they were not able to report vaccine side-effect. It is not known how many side-effects are not reported. Read more.
Children (under 18) are most disadvantaged by vaccine. Read more.
Other:
Data from US CDC and other official sources showed that "natural immunity" provides better protection than vaccine-induced immunity.
By March 2022, over 75% of Canadians are estimated to have "natural immunity" - either combined with vaccine-induced immunity or without it. 90% of children in Canada are estimated to have "natural immunity" after Omicron wave. Read more
The terms "natural immunity" , "herd immunity" are publicized in countries that have removed all pandemic restrictions, such as UK, Denmark, and other countries in EU. These terms however are mentioned in official reports in Canada.
No reports on the efficacy and safety of vaccines were produced by the Office of the Chief Scientific Advisor of Canada after July 2021, which is when post-marketing data related to vaccine efficacy have become available in Canada. Read more
Main Dashboard
Click here to learn about Dashboard design and how to use it.
Go to Dashboards for more interactive dashboards.
Notes:
The Main Dashboard (shown below on this page) is no longer updated - Go to other Dashboards for more updated statistics.
Every effort possible is made to reduce the chance of error in reproducing the statistics copied from the official sources. At minimum, two reviewers always validate all entered data and formulas. Nevertheless, some errors, although of minor significance, may still be present (such using different averaging windows for different dates or metrics).
Some Dashboards are generated from this Googlesheet. If your organization blocks access to Google Documents, you will see the "cloud" icon instead of interactive charts in those dashboards. Screenshots from this dashboards are included.
Adverse events and COVID cases statistics are reported on different dates and with different granularity and reporting delays. Hence they are rounded to the closest month, when the comparisons between these statistics are made.
Note that some graphs use Logarithmic (i.e. by factor of) scale
How to use the Dashboards:
To see the statistics behind the graphical visualizations, hover with your mouse over the images.
To view graph in full size , click on the pointer in top right corner of the graph. You maybe required to enter your Google login to view it in full size. No Google login is required thought to view graphs as part of the Dashboard below.
Important Note:
Starting June 5, 2022 PHAC no longer publishes the statistics of COVID-19 cases for partially vaccinated people. Therefore:
Dashboard below is not updated since June 5, 2022. The charts in this Dashboard are computed from data prior to June 2022.
For the latest charts corresponding to the data from June 2022, please go to "Cases following vaccination" dashboard.
1: Total Deaths and Excess Deaths
Death Tracker Apps
2: COVID-19 Deaths
3: Vaccine Efficacy
Go to https://sites.google.com/view/open-canada/dashboard/cases-following-vaccination for the notes and Updates related to Cases following Vaccination statistics reported by PHAC.
Note that PHAC reports Cases following Vaccination statistics counting cases from the start of vaccination campaign . i.e. 14 December 2020, when there were no people with 2 or more doses. This makes it impossible to compare the efficacy of vaccines across populations with different numbers of doses. However, when recomputing the same statistics from the start of reporting additional doses, - as shown below - it becomes possible to do it.
4: Vaccine Safety
5. Risk / benefit analysis for different age groups
6. Data integrity issues
