You’ll need to arrive in Vence on Wednesday 23rd September, to get yourself (and your bike) ready to ride.
We’ll be kicking things off by starting the ride from Vence on Thursday 24th September and wrapping up in Montpellier on Monday 28th September (or late Sunday 27th if you really need to dash). We’ve got 4 awesome days of riding and 5 nights away. On Sunday 27th, there’ll be a big celebratory dinner in Montpellier — which we’d love all riders to attend.
For One More City 2026, we are planning an additional "warm up ride" on Wednesday 23rd September. This will be optional, but we'd love as many of you to join as possible. It will be a great way to check your bike (and your legs!) are in good working order after travel. If you wish to join this short, additional approx 30km ride, please ensure you plan to arrive at our start hotel in Vence (30 minutes transfer from Nice Airport) before 1pm on Wednesday 23rd September 2026.
What’s covered: accommodation from Wednesday night to Monday morning, all your main meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) from Wednesday dinner through to Monday breakfast, luggage transfers between hotels, and bike transport to and from London. Unless you’ve requested otherwise, you’ll be sharing a twin room.
Out on the road, you’ll need to be pretty self-sufficient, but don’t worry — we’ll be there to step in with a support mechanic and van if anything dramatic happens.
We’ll allocate you to a small ride group with a leader and a set pace. The idea is to ride together, but if you need to swap groups at any point, no problem at all.
Have you filled in your booking form with your rooming preference, dietary bits, and any other info we should know? Any changes, please email info@adventurecafe.uk

So, how does it all work?
Every day’s a bit of an adventure, but there’s a rhythm to it — and once you’re into the swing, it’s a breeze (well… apart from the climbs, perhaps!)
Morning vibes:
Breakfast is as early as the hotel will let us — usually around 6:30am. Usually best to rock up (almost) ready to ride, with your bags pretty-much packed.
Once you’ve had breakfast, fill your water bottles and come to the reception of the hotel with your bags.
It’s your job to get your luggage into the right vehicle:
Your Big bag → Into the luggage van. This will go straight to the next hotel.
Small day bag → goes in a support car and you can dip into it at lunch.
Pro tip: keep it small, because a) space is tight and b) it’ll probably get to the hotel after you do at the end of the day’s riding.
Roll out:
We start rolling from about 8:00am, with groups heading off one by one. You and your group decide where to stop for those all-important coffee breaks (priorities, obviously), but lunch is sorted and waiting for you — this is sometimes a booked café, sometimes roadside.
On the road:
We’ve got two support vehicles out there to keep an eye on things. The mechanic is there for any big mechanical dramas, but you’ll need to handle little jobs like punctures yourself. If your bike (or you) completely throws in the towel, a lift is possible — though you might have to hang tight at the roadside for a bit before a support vehicle can swing by to collect you.
Post-ride routine:
When you hit the hotel, your big luggage bag will be there waiting.
First thing — sort your bike, give it a clean, and flag any issues for the mechanic. Then plug in your gadgets, grab a snack, have a shower, and get your kit ready for the next day. You’ll feel like a pro tour rider in no time (minus the Team Bus, masseuse and warm-down rollers).
Dinner & daily debrief:
Dinner is usually around 7:00pm, at the hotel or nearby so you don’t have to drag yourself too far.
When you fill in your booking form, you’ll be asked about dietary stuff and allergies. Important note: if you tell us you’re vegan, gluten-free, or otherwise, that’s what’ll be waiting for you — even if the wheat pasta meat lasagne looks like the stuff of dreams after a long day on the bike, it won’t be yours if you’ve told us you’re gluten free!
Evening briefing:
Over dinner, we’ll run through the plan for the next day — breakfast time, group roll-outs, any route changes, and anything else you’ll need to know before lights out.
