Everything WholePage PDF keeps is stored inside your browser, in the extension’s own storage. Websites can’t read it.
Your settings (paper size, time format, whether the address and time stamp is on, image quality, how fixed bars are handled, and the credit line).
If you buy a license: your license key, its status and when it was last checked.
WholePage PDF does not keep copies of the pages you save or a list of them. Each PDF goes straight to your Downloads.
WholePage PDF reads a page only when you click its toolbar button, and only the tab you clicked it in. To make the PDF it:
scrolls the page once so that images and sections that load late appear, then puts your scroll position back;
takes pictures of the page in that tab;
reads the words shown on the page and where they are, and the links, so the PDF has real text you can search and copy. Text the page hides from you is left out.
If you turn on the stamp (it’s off until you do), page 1 also shows the page title, its address and the time you saved it.
It doesn’t run on any website until you click the button, and it doesn’t read other tabs or your browsing history.
When you activate a purchased license, and then about every 14 days to confirm it’s still valid, the extension sends your license key and the product ID to Gumroad’s license-verification service (https://api.gumroad.com/v2/licenses/verify). That request is the only network call the extension makes. Like any web request, Gumroad also receives your IP address. Gumroad’s privacy policy applies to that request: https://gumroad.com/privacy. If you never buy a license, the extension makes no network requests at all.
The pages you save and the PDFs are never sent anywhere: not to us, not to Gumroad, not to anyone. The PDF is built on your computer.
No analytics, tracking or telemetry.
No accounts, sign-ins or cloud storage.
We do not collect, sell, rent or share your data.
No ads.
activeTab: lets WholePage PDF read and take pictures of the tab you clicked its button in, and only that tab.
scripting: lets it add its page reader and progress box to that tab.
downloads: saves the PDF to your computer.
storage: saves your settings and license status.
Access to api.gumroad.com: used only for the license check described above.
WholePage PDF asks for no other permissions.
Purchases are processed by Gumroad, Inc. WholePage PDF never sees or stores your payment details.
Uninstalling WholePage PDF deletes everything it stored in your browser. PDFs you saved stay where you saved them.
If this policy changes, the new version is posted on this page with a new effective date.
