Week One
These are your goals for the first day, first week and first month with the company. Think of it as your famous first steps.
🎯First Week Goals
Onboarding is an ongoing process that may last through your employees’ first years at your company. Over the first 60 to 90 days, set goals for them to handle more responsibilities in their positions. Check in with them on a monthly basis to ensure they’re on track to meet their goals and address any concerns they might have. The goals you create should be SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Time-bound).
Hold weekly meetings with new employees
Bring them into ongoing projects, but nothing too complicated
Help them learn company-specific platforms, training resources, and intranet systems
Provide feedback on specific tasks. Remember to go easy since they’re still learning the ropes
Facilitate relationship building
Conduct an onboarding survey to determine how well a new employee has integrated into your company
Perform a progress review and schedule relevant training based on the results of the review
