When I was younger, I thought my city was the most boring place in the world. There were not many things to do, and most of the shops closed early. My friends and I usually met in the same park because there were very few places where teenagers could spend their free time.
Things have changed a lot in the last few years. The city centre is now busier and more modern than it used to be. There are new cafés, sports centres and shops, and the old cinema has been replaced by a much bigger one. There is also a cycle lane across the city, so travelling by bike is easier than it was in the past.
However, not everything is better. Traffic is worse, especially during rush hour, and finding a parking space is sometimes almost impossible. Some of my friends say that the city is too noisy now, while others think it is more exciting than before.
Personally, I prefer the city as it is today. The best thing is that there are more opportunities for young people. We can meet our friends, practise sports, go to concerts or simply hang out without having to travel to another town. It may not be perfect, but it is definitely more interesting than it was when I was a child.
