The Omaha Central High School Wind Ensemble is an auditioned group made up of instrumentalists from grades 9-12. The group performs on a regular basis through the school year, with one concert in the fall semester and two concerts in the spring semester. The vision of the Wind Ensemble is to perform high level, challenging music, exploring both the standard repertoire and new literature for wind band. The group also performs at the District Music Festival held in mid-April.
As a member of the Wind Ensemble there are other performance opportunities for the student. Solo and small ensembles are available through this group as interest allows.
