I graduated from Amherst College in 2012 with a degree in English and French, and then spent a year teaching English in France at the University of Burgundy before pursuing a Master's degree in English Literature at Oxford University. After returning to the US, I taught both middle school and high school English and Humanities in New York City and completed my second Master's degree in English Education at Teachers College of Columbia University. I moved to Austin last year, and I currently teach 6th grade English at Canyon Vista Middle School. I am also passionate about volunteering with LitWorld, an international nonprofit that champions literacy as a human right and gives children the tools and the opportunities to tell their own stories.
