Our Lady of Grace School

We are currently enrolling and accepting applications with limited availability for the upcoming 2020-21 school year! Email info@olg.org for more information.

Given the Governor's announcement about school openings delivered on July 17th, 2020, OLG school is currently beginning the year with schoolwide distance learning. Now that San Diego is off the watchlist, we are SO EXCITED to welcome students back to campus with a phased reopening that begins Tuesday September 1st.

One Mission, Three Learning Plans

Our plans for reopening the school are guided by the assumption that a vaccine will not be available until at least 2021. With this in mind, we are working hard to find ways to mitigate risk and keep students healthy and safe on campus. As we prepare to open OLG School when it is safe to do so, we know that we may be required to close again with little to no warning. For this reason, we are actively planning for three different learning models: In-Person Face-to-Face Learning, At Home by Choice Distance Learning, and Schoolwide Distance Learning. We understand that the ability to toggle between these models is key, and we feel confident that each model will uphold our tradition of of academic excellence and our community values.

Faith Above All

Our faith always comes first. OLG Face-to-Face and Distance Learning curriculum fully integrates Sofia Institute Religion curriculum and each students begin their day with their class' prayer, just as they would in person. Faith development is integrated into every subject and every decision and action OLG faculty and staff take.

Others Before Self

Ties to our community have never been more important. Multiple opportunities for conversation, collaboration, and relationship-building are built into the school day, no matter the format. Teachers and Distance Learning Facilitators are constantly working on ways to involve these students in special OLG events.

Excellence in Learning

Students experiencing all learning options engage with California Common Core State Standards-aligned blended learning curriculum that is rigorous and engaging. Students at home will keep up with the learning happening in class so they are ready to jump back in at any point.

We are Committed to Constant Improvement

Here at Our Lady of Grace School, our work is never finished. We are constantly looking for ways to improve our practice in person and digitally. New procedures, protocols, formats, templates, and ways of engaging with students will be added, changed, and shifted because our students always come first. We will grow and change as technology changes and improves along with the needs of our students. Your feedback is a critical part of that!
