Process Design Basis

While reviewing process engineering design, had observed how a few pieces of missing information, cause rework/ mistakes/ mismatched documents with a ripple effect on other engineering disciplines. Have attempted to capture key points in this document. While rest of the documents uploaded here took only 6-12 months to compile, this took about 4 years, mainly, as I was unable to decide what to include or exclude. I am not happy with the present compilation. Will update based on comments received and additional reading. Note: This is not a Scope of Work or Basic Engineering document. Limited to Process Design only.

P&ID Check List

P&ID Check List is to help up you spot common mistakes while reviewing P&IDs

• You may add or delete the rows to suit your project and engineering practices

• You can use it for self-check of P&IDs at AFD stage

It is tough to go thru a 8 page check list for each and every P&ID in a project. Over the years, you should be able to review instinctively without such a list. Good luck.
