PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports. It’s a framework used in schools to promote positive behavior, improve school climate, and support all students—especially those who need extra help with behavior.
At its core, PBIS focuses on:
Teaching expected behaviors clearly and consistently.
Recognizing and rewarding positive behavior.
Using data to identify and support students who need additional interventions.
Creating a safe and respectful environment where all students can thrive.
Proactive, school-wide approach to help students succeed socially, emotionally, and academically.
Did you KNOW that OHVA Staff can nominate students at the beginning of each month for radiating positive behavior?! If/when nominated, you will receive a personalized certificate! Your name will then be entered into a drawing to receive a gift from Snappy!
