Academic integrity means honesty in academic work. All of your coursework should be a result of your efforts. I understand that you can often feel pressured and overwhelmed by the demands of school, work, and personal commitments. No matter what level of stress you may be experiencing, it is still expected that you will approach your work with honesty and integrity. While I recognize that mistakes can happen, violating Ohlone's Academic Dishonesty Policy may compromise your academic and professional careers. Should a concern arise, I will follow the protocol identified in the policy. If you have any questions about what constitutes academic dishonesty – cheating, plagiarism, and falsification- contact me as soon as possible.
Please review Ohlone's Academic Dishonesty Policy here.
Cheating or plagiarism of any kind may result in one of the following consequences: a zero on the assignment, lowering of your grade by one whole grade, and a grade of "F" for the course, and be reported to the Vice President of Student Services. This applies to work on all individual assignments, including quizzes, papers, and speeches. The course's purpose is to learn – you do not know by copying someone else's work.
Citing Sources
Some assignments for this class may require for you to conduct research and use outside sources. In this class, we will be using APA (7th edition) formatting for citing sources. Click here for more information on how to use APA formatting.
