Judicial Branch

The Judicial

Summary:

Article 7 outlines the structure and responsibilities of the Judicial Branch in the Democratic-Republic of Boredesia. The branch is comprised of three distinct courts: the Constitutional Court, the Supreme Court, and the Inferior Courts.

The Constitutional Court, made up of 10 judges who are each from one of the 10 provinces of Boredesia, is responsible for checking the constitutionality of bills and executive orders. All judges must be naturally born in Boredesia and have a degree in constitutional law. If a bill or executive order is declared constitutional, it will go into effect; if it is declared unconstitutional, it will not.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court is made up of five judges who are born in Boredesia and serve for 10 years. Their role is to bring justice in national or federal cases, and they hold the right to have an unanimous verdict. The Supreme Court oversees the Inferior Courts, but the Inferior Courts do not have power over the Supreme or Constitutional Court.

The Inferior Courts are provincial courts and have at least one judge per province. They serve for five years and can be re-elected as many times as they want. However, they do not have power over the Supreme or Constitutional Court, nor can they be declared useless by these higher courts.
